Jaguar to cut jobs and more auto news

Jaguar has just announced that it may cut up to 300 jobs at its Halewood plant on Merseyside. This follows news that they will end production of the Jaguar X-Type.

Earlier Aston Martin had also announced that about 95 workers in Gaydon in Warwickshire would lose their jobs .

The Jaguar job cuts are not surprising now that we know they suffered a $1 billion dollar loss for 2008.

Thanks for the kind words Adam. I had comments enabled but I turned them off after it occured to me that since it's really an aggregate type blog that just points visitors to great posts there wasn't really a need for comments.

If I was writing my own posts like you I would definitely turn them back on.
